The League
- Chuan-Tze Teo scored an impressive average of 67, and so takes the title
of DipSoc Order of Merit 1998. An 'average' score, performing competently
in most games, is about 50.
- Defending champion, Geoff Bache, ties for second place in a narrow finish.
The points margins between the second to sixth players is almost negligable,
demonstrating just how close some of the games were.
- Sam Norton, newcomer this year, put in some excellent performances to
finish sixth. Dipsoc President, Will Wiles, finishes in tenth place, to
prove that the President can negogiate. But nearer the bottom, Alan Hammond
pulls the committee's average score down to 52.
